Welcome to the City on Down!

mike's picture

So, I devote way to much time and effort to creating cool applications for other people. Now, I am sick of it and decided to do something for the people that matter.

And here it is.

Our family and friends are spread out all over the globe. I only just recently met my Aunt Kathy for the second time in my life. How messed up is that? So what's the solution? Let's get connected without expensive plane tickets. Let's use that new fangled InterWeb(tm)!

Sounds like its been done before? Well, the idea is to skip all those "Great Idea, Horrible Execution" websites devoted to bringing families together. Here we have our own place to connect and it doesn't cost anything. It's not open to the outside world and not bound by any rules. Kinda like a friends & family reunion, but within our own four ethereal walls, not out for all to see. (which, given our gene pool, could be a bad thing ;)

Oh, and we have lots of CPU power and space (compared to the cookie cutter websites out there). I have a nice brand spakin' new Dell Poweredge 2850 with 4 CPUs and 4 of the fastest harddrives this planet has ever seen. So let's make use of it!

So what should you do now? Follow this link to read up on what cool new toys you now have access to: First Time Here? (You can also find it at the top right of every page)

Have fun!

Mike's a Slacker!

ArynWille's picture

So apparently Mike is too much of a slacker to post pictures of my beautiful nephew on here, so I'm going to be doing that in the next few minutes. I also fixed their wedding album so now when you look at all the pictures it's not all messed up.

Michael David

Say hello to our new son, Michael David.

As soon as I get some free time I will take a nap. And after that I will post some pics of him!

Proofs are in

I know not many people care to order them, but the photographer put up our wedding pictures.

Check them out, there are a ton and a lot of people are in them :)

collages.net

Make sure you don't put in your real email address. Any bogus one will do. I don't approve of their scam where they require your email address to view the pictures. All they are doing is harvesting it for later use. Bastards.

O.A.R. Concert - July 28th

mike's picture

Just went to the O.A.R. concert at Freedom Hill here in Michigan. As always, an excellent show. These guys really know how to rock.

Sorry for the shady pictures. It's from my iPhone which camera is less than spectacular.

This was also my first time to Freedom Hill. It was cool because it was a particularly small venue. But it didn't capture the outdoor spirit as much as Pine Knob. Their "lawn" seats were basically a flat spot at the top of the hill behind the seats. The lawn was maybe half the size of the pavilion seats. Luckily OAR priced their tickets the same no matter if it was lawn or pavilion. I might add that the show was no where near being sold out, which was a shame!

a day to remember

lacey's picture

july 7th 2007 will go down as one of the most important day of my life. to see your first born child married to someone so loving and beautiful made for a day to remember. i don't know if i ever want to go through everything again at least not for awhile but it sure was worthwhile. i know that it did not end up to be the absolute perfect wedding but pretty darn close. little things were forgotten only to be made up by others. i have only had the chance to see a few pictures but everyone shows true happiness and joy. so the story begins with a daisy and may it continue to bloom and grow, these things i wish for my first born son and his beautiful bride.

Mike & Kelly's Wedding 7-7-7

mike's picture

So I'm late posting this. Had to spend some time down in Mexico first. Now, that I'm getting to it, we have a few pictures up in the gallery. If you have taken some, please add them to the gallery for everyone to see.

The wedding and the week leading up to it was probably the best time of my life. Thanks for all who came. For those that couldn't make it, we missed you. For those that RSVP'd and didn't come, :p
